A press conference on the 13th China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo (CMGE) was held in Chenzhou on the morning of April 24, 2025. It announced that the expo will be held from May 16 to 20 in Chenzhou, with the theme of "Picking a Star for You".

The 13th CMGE is organized by the Chenzhou Development and Investment Group Co., Ltd. and supported by the China Fossil Preservation Foundation (CFPF). The exhibition area is about 60,000 square meters, with a total of about 1,200 international standard booths. There are four major display and sales areas, including a mineral crystal area, a color gemstone area, a fossil meteorite area, and a handicraft area. More than 600 exhibitors have registered, including over 530 domestic and 70 overseas exhibitors. International exhibitors come from more than 10 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, Australia, Finland, Morocco, Zambia, India, Pakistan, Uruguay, and Afghanistan.

The expo consists of "three ceremonies, three meetings, six exhibitions, and two collection pavilions", with a total of 14 thematic activities. In specific:

- Three ceremonies are an opening ceremony, a launching ceremony of CMGE global mineral crystal livestream base, and a launching ceremony of CMGE auction platform;

- Three meetings refer to the 2025 Chenzhou bismuth tellurium industry development forum, the national museum seminar, and the mineral crystal auction;

- Six exhibitions include the meteorite theme exhibition, the Belt and Road Initiative overseas Chinese supporting CMGE cultural exhibition, the returned international mineral exhibition, the second session of the "Fucheng Cup" boutique exhibition, a mini exhibition, and a mineral science popularization exhibition; and,

- Two themed pavilions are the pavilion of top collectors at home and abroad and the "Life in a Hundred Styles" thematic pavilion.

CMGE is the only international mineral and gemstone exhibition and professional trading platform approved by the State Council and recorded by the Ministry of Commerce. It has become one of the largest mineral and gemstone professional exhibitions in Asia with the widest international influence.
